Old Canoe Paddle w Mountain Man Deer Hidden Pictures

This 5' old well used wooden canoe paddle oar has a hand painted wilderness scene on it.

This 5' old well used wooden canoe paddle oar has a hand painted oil painting of a mountain man climbing into his birch bark canoe as a full moon looms in the sky. A large antlered buck watches from the ridge above the bank. A grey squirrel chatters noisely alerting the whole woods of the intruder there. Additional eyes watch from the trees as to what this human will do next. This oar has seen better days, as it is well used, with splits in the end, and small chunks of the wood missing. Think of the stories that can be dreamed of as to all this oar has been through in it's day. The paddle has been decorated with rabbit fur hide, a couple of glass trade beads, and other beads and leather. The painted area is 25" by 7-1/2". This oar has been sealed with a matt varnish, and I could find no original markings on it. But it is one piece and not laminated like the new ones I purchase to paint on.
The trees have eyes watching too.
