	This is truly a one of a kind rustic coat rack. The squirrel on top has been hand carved out of butternut, he has been antiqued, and only his little eyes have been painted. The truly unique aspect of this rustic coat rack, is the black walnut board itself. Evidently the tree was damaged at some time, and a black walnut shell fell into the injured tree limb, the tree then healed, and when the tree was finally cut down, this board happen to be ripped at the right point, and there is half of a shell right in the board. See the photos. You can see another small piece of shell, and the indent of where it was. There are three hooks for hanging hats, coats, scarves, or whatever else you choose. I've put two triangle hooks on the back for hanging, but if I were hanging and going to use for heavy coats, I would countersink two holes and screw it directly to the wall. This walnut board is warped about 1/2" up on one end, but I can hold it down with just putting pressure of my hands on it. I only sanded this board after finding it at the lumber yard. I did not straighten any of the edges, and left it to the original way it was. The coat rack is 39" long, 7-1/4" at the widest part of the board, 11-1/4" where the squirrel is.
